Render Tanking
What is Render Tanking?
Tanking is a liquid coating that bonds to damp masonry and then cures to form a waterproof barrier. Render tanking helps to keep water and moisture at bay to prevent it from damaging inner surfaces. Render tanking systems can be applied to the interior or exterior of your home.
At Trueform Plastering we’re experts at render tanking the exterior and interior of properties. If you have got any questions about how render tanking can help your home then give Tony a call on 07913 541372.

We cut out the old render in a straight line and hack off all the contaminated render. We then apply sika or sovereign waterproofers to the area. We then set stainless drip bead above damp proof course line and apply two coats of sand and cement . To finish we scribed in vertical and horizontal lines to match the upper area.

What problems can be caused by damp?
Damp is unsightly, potentially unhealthy, and can cause heat loss due to the increased conductivity of the walls. If you notice the tell tale signs of damp the sooner you start thinking about resolving the issue, the less likely for more damage to occur and the lower the potential costs to remedy the issue.
Often, the easiest and most reliable way to do this is to contact an experienced and qualified damp specialist such as ourselves that are familiar with damp problems and the variety of damp treatments available.
